Project Management
Sandy has been managing projects, shows, productions and programs for 25 years. Her experience ranges from managing the design and installation of large scale events to minute details of utility regulatory reporting. She has started 3 businesses, taking them from basic planning stages to full execution. The Pilonidal Support Alliance began as a personal effort to help others deal with a disease, as it grew it needed to become a legal entity and Sandy wrote the 501(c)(3) for IRS non-profit status. She also wrote the bid for the Operation Light Exchange Program and has taken the program from paper to full implementation and 100% achievement of contract goals -- on budget and a full year ahead of schedule.

Sandy interfaces easily with all sorts of diverse individuals and groups from the CEO all the way down to the janitor, realizing that each has a role in bringing a project in on-time and on-budget.

Marketing
Sandy has handled all the marketing for both Operation Light Exchange Programs, which has included placing print advertising, ordering radio spots, writing copy, analyzing turn-out by zip codes, and researching markets /demographics. Sandy has also worked closely with local politicians such as City Mayors, Councilmembers, State Assembly and Congresswomen Jane Harman and Laura Richardson.

The Operation Light Exchange Programs frequently targeted “hard to reach” communities which necessitated marketing in a variety of languages and working with various community groups. Sandy has dealt with translation, marketing and outreach to Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Hispanic communities.

Sandy also runs several businesses in the online virtual world of Second Life, one of which is a virtual marketing company for Second Life businesses. The virtual world shares many things in common with the real one and requires all the same elements of Product, Place, Price and Promtion. Branding a business in cyberspace is still as important as in real life.
